Electrical walk-through and new garage lights

Yesterday was our electrical walk-through and it was a smashing success! For the first time, ever, we came in ON budget. Brad, Bob the Builder, Lauren, the electrician and I all took a stroll through the house together and talked about where every plug, light switch, outlet etc. will go in the new house. We got so lucky- Bob had TONS in the budget for electric, so we were able to get absolutely everything we wanted. That even included things like extra plugs outside for Christmas lights and in the garage! We even had enough in the budget to add some "carriage lights" outside for the sides of the garage. Check out this beauty, and for only $36 each:

When we were done with the electrician, we headed over to WinDoor to fix the door issues. The wrong doors had been ordered, and with the house going up SO fast we needed to get the right ones squared away. We picked a beautiful interior door with a curved top panel, and some beautiful lines in it.

The next choice was for the hardware, we wanted oil rubbed bronze, and the guy at WinDoor said he was going to try and get them for us in our budget. (Oil rubbed bronze is just more expensive for no really clear reason, so finger's crossed that we get them for the same price as the brushed nickle!)

The front door: Ohhhh my goodness am I excited. We are getting a beautiful two panel door with a big square rain-glass glass top. It's also got a cool dentil-shelf and is going to be red! So cool!

The electrical is going in this week, and Bob says they will be sheet-rocking by next week (which means electrical, insulation and drywall will all be done - maybe even plumbing!)

Today I popped by the house and the showers are sitting in the garage ready to be installed, there were piles of HVAC supplies and plumbing corners. Here you go:
